Hunter 28.5 1986 sailboat that is looking for a new home. Here are some thoughts from the boat itself... Hi! As is the case for all boats like myself, I have had a varied life. Some parts good, some parts not so good. I gotta tell you my last few years I was feeling like a neglected step-child. For a number of years my owner had gotten to an age that he no longer had the will or strength to take care of me and I was dirty and lonely. Then early this year, my new owner found me. He saw thru the dirt and bought me, knowing that with a little TLC, I could be as good as new. Well it took a little more then TLC, he added some elbow grease, 35 years of boating know how and before I knew it, I was looking and feeling better then new. Cap'n Rod gave me a new lease on life. He went thru my various systems from the keel to the masthead, from the rudder to the bow light and now I am ready to make some new sailor very happy. My engine is running better then it has in years, with my renewed running rigging, I am sailing better then I can remember sailing ever! So take a look at some of the pictures of me and let's get together for a sail, so that you can see if I may be just the boat that you are looking for. In my humble opinion, the price that he is asking is well below what I am really worth. $17,500 is below average price and I mean to tell you, I am well above average!!! Just the fact that I have "in mast furling" makes me above average, but I may be prejudiced. Call to schedule a visit as soon as you can, I may not be on the market for long.
